Croft Mill Loves… An Explanation.

So given the fact it’s been on our emails/Facebook/Twitter/Pinterest… I’m guessing that you already know that the theme of this Project of the Month is ‘Love’. If you didn’t know you can catch up here, you naughty things. You can also subscribe to our website, if you want to keep up to date with all our goings on and fabrics.

We chose ‘love’ because we figured that a lot of you, like us, will be busy making things for Valentine’s day. Or like some of us, you may be thinking about making a gift only to realise that we’ve left it too late – I’ve been guilty of that a few times. However when we say ‘love’ for the Project of the Month, it doesn’t have to be of the romantic kind. It can be any sort of love; love for a family member, a friend… a certain fabric. Anything at all as long as it involves love, and spreads the joy.

As we liked this theme so much, we have decided to extend it over the whole of Croft Mill for the next couple of weeks. We’ll be sharing all the things we love, including fabrics, patterns, tutorials and quotes. We have already created a Pinterest board with some of our favourite things. (like brown paper packages tied up with string! Sorry, had to slip that in there!)

Whilst we was discussing the theme in the main office here, we digressed a little (as tends to happen) and began to wonder what colour ‘love’ would be. Would it be a passionate and fiery red? Or a sweet and gentle pink? Or perhaps a pure and simple white? Who knows. I suppose it would depend on the relationship the love was relevant too, as to what colour would symbolise it best.
