Can you believe it is a month (almost) since our last Sewing Book Club post? Time certainly flies when you are having fun sewing! Now that the nights are growing longer, and the temperature’s cooler let’s look at this month’s books to snuggle up with… School of Sewing: Learn it, Teach it, Sew Together by Shea Henderson This book, as you can probably gage from the title, is aimed at beginners. Shea Henderson is an American pattern designer and magazine contributor and often teaches her friends to sew. What we liked about this book, is that it covers all the basics, with simple projects to get you going. The book also includes trouble shooting, for all those pesky problems that pop up as you learn to sew. This could be a lovely present for anyone who is learning from scratch. Present Perfect: 25 Gifts to Sew and Bestow by Betz White This book is a great book for Autumn as it means you still have plenty of time to get the presents ready before the rush of the festive season descends.
