If you’ve been following our blog or Facebook site you will know that in November we launched a brand new monthly give-away. As it was the first month and on the run up to Christmas we decided to expand it into December and give it a Christmas theme.
A lot of you got involved and it was great to see what you’ve all been up to. We had so many entries that it was actually quite hard to pick a winner. The creativity and skills displayed by those who entered meant that one winner would be decided upon only for another team member to point out the merits of another project – and back to square one we went! However after much debate a winner was eventually agreed upon by all 6 judges and the winners have been contacted.
The entries were judged on the creativity of the project, the use of materials and the use of techniques.
1st place – India Mcmillan
We loved India’s quilt. The design used the various fabrics in a very clever way to create a charming pattern. We appreciated this not only for how good it looks but also the techniques that went into making it.
2nd place – Di Kendall
We loved Di Kendall’s jacket for its use of the fabrics and the idea to put a contrasting panel at the back to draw the eye and flatter the wearer.
The level of entries was so high we decided to add in a 3rd place – Fiona Pook
Fiona’s dress used a wonderful technique to create a dress from three different fabrics. We think you will agree that this deserved a prize!
Special Mention – Glynis Benton
Glynis also deserves a mention for the cushions she hade made, featuring some wonderful designs.

07/01/2015 at 6:15 PMThe prize winners are great – but the cushions are wonderful. I’d love a set like that. I have 2 huge cream sofas. When I’ve made granddaughter’s birthday present maybe.
